The Tour de Hongrie was first organized in 1925, nine decades ago the start was on 27 June, the time of it was 4 A.M., truly early morning and riders left from the Gellert Hotel, which is in a wonderful part of Budapest. After 80 years, in 2018 this place will be the one where cyclists are going to have their very last kilometres until the finish line.
Hungary’s biggest international cycling event, Tour de Hongrie will be organized next year between 11-16 June 2019. Similar to this year, our race got 2.1 classification from UCI.
In 2018, after 6 days and 865 km, Italy’s Manuel Belletti won the Tour de Hongrie, in Hungary, by our national sports channel, M4 Sport, there were live broadcasts each day, totally the race could be followed in 195 different countries, so fans all around the world were informed about the happenings day after day.
